Set OLE print quality

Are your OLE objects printing out in monochrome, or the option to change their plot quality isn't available on the property panel? Some earlier releases of BricsCAD (around V20) assigned the wrong plot quality to OLE objects on insertion, resulting them being set to print in monochrome by default. This couldn't easily be fixed, as the option to change the plot quality of an OLE isn't available by default from the property panel, which is still an issue in the latest releases.

OLE Plot Quality options missing from the Properties panel

We've created a utility that allows you to set the plot quality of OLE objects. Furthermore, once set future changes to plot quality can be simply made via the Properties panel.

Once set, OLE Plot Quality options can be accessed from the Properties panel

Command(s):

SETOLEPLOTQUALITY or SOLE

The command provides the option of changing the print quality of selected OLE objects. Three levels are allowed:

  • MONOCHROME. Monochrome (e.g. spreadsheet).
  • LOW. Low graphics (e.g. color text & pie charts).
  • HIGH. High graphics (e.g. photograph).

Setup

  • Download using the button below.
  • You can load by simply dragging and dropping the file onto an existing drawing window in BricsCAD. If you find it useful, then you can use APPLOAD to get BricsCAD to load it automatically.
