With the recent release of BricsCAD V22 we've been fielding lots of questions from users excited to get their hands on the latest version.
We've compiled the following list of frequently asked questions (FAQs) to help you navigate your way to the new version.
BricsCAD V22 is the latest version released at the Bricsys Digital Summit on 26 October 2021.

BricsCAD customers with a current maintenance contract will automatically receive a free upgrade to the new release.
If you don't have current maintenance or using an older version of BricsCAD, there will be a cost if you want to upgrade to the latest version.

BricsCAD V22 is available for Windows, Linux, and Mac operating systems. For more details on requirements please check the guide on System Requirements.
If you're trying to activate BricsCAD check first that you're using the latest license key. License keys for BricsCAD customers with a current maintenance contract will have been upgraded automatically to a new license key as part of the BricsCAD V22 release. Note, your new license key replaces your previous key and will no longer work.
You can view and manage your license(s) by logging into your Bricsys account. If your license is owned by a company, the delegated license holder has access only to see license keys.
Absolutely! You are free to carry on using your current version of BricsCAD for as long as you see fit.
It's worth noting that it is possible to install the new version of BricsCAD in parallel to older versions. This allows you to explore and test the new version, while having the security of switching back to the previous version should you need it.
Just use your new license key. BricsCAD license keys are backwards compatible and can be used to activate any version of BricsCAD back as far as V14.
It's possible to download older versions of BricsCAD from the Bricsys website. Details on the steps required can be found in this blog post.
The answer to this will depend on which 3rd party application you're using. For each 3rd part yapplication you will need to contact the supplier (or us on the applications we support) to check. Typically it takes up to 3 months for most 3rd party applications to update to the new BricsCAD release.
Until an update is available you will need to stick with your current BricsCAD Version. In the meantime, it is still possible to install the latest version of BricsCAD in parallel to your existing version to explore its new features.
Go to the Bricsys website https://www.bricsys.com/en-nz/and in the top right of the home page select the Login option.
Once you've logged in you will see your name on the top right of the home page, that displays an option menu when you click on it.
If you can't remember your password to your Bricsys account, then start the log in process and when you're on the log in screen pick the Forgot password? option under the Log in button. This will allow you to send yourself an email with a link to reset your password.
