BricsCAD Platinum has matured to become quite a useful tool for working with sheetmetal. Bricsys.TV has recently added a four part video series prepared by Damian Harking of Sofoco where he demonstrates using sheetmetal to create a workbench for a commercial kitchen. He also includes the source files to allow you to try it out for yourself.

BricsCAD V13 (Platinum) - Assembly Modeling

Bricsys have posted a video demonstration of BricsCAD V13 Platinums Assembly Modeling capabilities. The example shows how to attach parts or sub assemblies (all of which are dwg files), editing sub assemblies, adding a bill of materials, and making use of the x-solids hardware library.

Demonstration of Inverse Kinematics in action with BricsCAD V13 Platinum at the 2012 Bricsys conference in Amsterdam on October 3rd. Presentation was made by Dmitry Ushakov, Chief Executive Officer, Bricsys Technologies Russia. With BricsCAD V13 Platinum is moving further to identify itself as the MCAD option of the three different types of BricsCAD.
